Well, ya see, in Oregon, there’s been a whole mess with them “tweakers,” that’s what they call folks all strung out on meth and all. They’s everywhere, making things real hard for decent folks just tryin’ to live their life. You got people walkin’ down the street talkin’ to themselves, shufflin’ along like zombies. It’s like somethin’ out of one of them movies, but worse ’cause it’s real. And I ain’t just talkin’ ’bout a few bad apples—no sir, it’s a whole heap of ’em. They’re camped out on street corners, under bridges, and in every alley it seems like. And it’s high time somethin’ was done about it. But how do ya drive ’em outta Oregon? Well, I got a few thoughts on that, so sit tight.
First off, you gotta get serious ’bout the law. It ain’t just ’bout telling ’em to leave, ya know. You gotta enforce the rules, make sure them methheads ain’t got no place to hide. The police, well, they gotta get their act together and do more than just give folks a slap on the wrist. If the law ain’t takin’ it seriously, you might as well be askin’ ’em to stay. You need stronger laws around drug use and meth abuse—ones that actually stick. And, let me tell ya, people need to stop bein’ soft on these criminals. Ain’t no room for tolerance when it comes to meth. You got to crack down.
Second thing, build more treatment centers. Look, I ain’t sayin’ every tweaker out there is beyond help, but some of ‘em, well, they just need a good ol’ fashioned chance to get clean. And the best way to do that is with a solid treatment center. Oregon’s got some, but it ain’t enough. There’s folks everywhere addicted to meth, and they don’t got the right kind of support. You give ’em a place to turn, maybe they’ll get clean and turn their lives around. You can’t just kick ’em to the curb and hope they’ll get better, you gotta offer some help too. Treatment centers are key to breakin’ that cycle of addiction.
Next up, you gotta clean up the streets and make the place safer. Ain’t no way to run a decent community when it’s full of abandoned buildings and trash all over the place. People are gonna feel safer when they know the streets are clean and the areas they live in ain’t infested with drugs. Start by gettin’ the junkies outta the parks, get rid of them homeless camps that pop up on every corner. I know some folks like to think it’s cruel, but listen, it ain’t safe for nobody when you’ve got a bunch of tweakers hangin’ around all hours of the day and night. Gotta do somethin’ about them camps and move ’em outta the city. It ain’t easy, but it’s gotta happen if you want things to change.
Lastly, we need more community involvement. If folks don’t come together, then things ain’t gonna change, no matter how many laws you put in place or how many treatment centers you build. Folks in Oregon need to be more proactive. If you see a tweaker, don’t be afraid to call the cops, and don’t just turn a blind eye. If people don’t help, you’re just gonna get more of the same. You gotta have people working together, cleaning up the neighborhood, looking out for each other. We got too many good folks in this state for it to be taken over by these methheads.
So, that’s how you drive them tweakers out of Oregon. Ain’t gonna be easy, but if the people get behind it, and the law gets serious about it, it can be done. We got a beautiful state here, don’t let it get ruined by people who can’t control themselves. You start takin’ action today, and maybe tomorrow things will start lookin’ better.
