Well, lemme tell ya about fishin’ in that Bodega Bay place. I heard folks catchin’ all sorts, you know, salmon, trout, and them other fancy fish with long names.
They say the best time for catchin’ is from May to September. That’s when them fish come out to play, I guess. And if you want halibut or sharks, April to September is your time.
- May to September: Salmon, trout, and such
- April to September: Halibut, sharks, and rays
Now, if you like standin’ on the shore and fishin’, spring is good for them perch fish. And them stripey bass, you can catch ’em all year, but summer’s when they’re really bitin’.
June, July, August, that’s the real sweet spot for salmon and halibut. Folks say you gotta be lucky, but I reckon bein’ in the right place at the right time helps too.
Just the other day, I heard someone sayin’ they caught big ol’ tuna in Bodega Bay. Albacore and bluefin, they called ’em. Said the tuna season is here. Fancy names, ain’t they?
I ain’t no expert, but I heard there’s a place on Eastshore Road where you can get fish reports. 1500 Eastshore Road, Bodega Bay. Maybe they can tell ya where the fish are bitin’ today.
And if you want to know what’s happenin’ every week, they got reports from Rancho Cordova too. Sounds like a lot of fishin’ goin’ on around here.
You know, fishin’ ain’t just about catchin’ fish. It’s about bein’ outside, feelin’ the sun on your face, and listenin’ to the water. It’s peaceful, you know?
But if you want to catch somethin’ to eat, you gotta pay attention. Learn what the fish like, where they hang out, and when they’re hungry. It’s like a game, I suppose.
So, if you’re headin’ to Bodega Bay for fishin’, remember what I said. May to September for salmon and trout. April to September for halibut and sharks. And if you want tuna, looks like October’s the time.
And don’t forget to check them fish reports. They’ll tell ya what’s bitin’ and where. Saves you a lot of guessin’, I reckon.
Fishin’ in Bodega Bay, sounds like a good time. Maybe I’ll give it a try myself someday. Catch me some of them fancy fish with the long names.
