Well, let me tell ya ’bout these Lamson fishin’ reels. I ain’t no fancy expert or nothin’, but I know a good reel when I see one, and these Lamson folks, they seem to make some pretty decent ones.
Now, they say they use parts from all over, ya know, here and across the water. But the important bits, the ones that make the drag work, them’s made right here in the USA. They put all the pieces together and check ’em over in a place called Boise, Idaho. Heard it’s pretty out there, but I ain’t never been.
Lamson and Waterworks, they’re like two peas in a pod. Waterworks bought Lamson a while back, back in ’98 I think. Both of ’em make reels that are strong and easy to use. Not a lot of fancy stuff you don’t need, just good, solid reels that get the job done.
I seen some reels that cost an arm and a leg, but these Lamson reels, they seem to be priced alright. You can find ’em at a good price if you look around. Some places even have deals and sales, so keep your eyes peeled.
I heard tell of some reels that are made for catchin’ them big fish, like tuna and marlin. Them Okuma Makaira reels, they say they’re tough as nails. But for everyday fishin’, for bass or trout or whatever you got in your pond, a Lamson reel will do ya just fine.
- They got different kinds too. Some for freshwater, some for saltwater.
- Now, I ain’t done much saltwater fishin’ myself, but they say them aluminum reels, they can have some trouble in the salt. So, you gotta take care of ’em, wash ’em off good after you use ’em.
- But for freshwater, they’re just the ticket. Smooth as butter, they say.
You can buy these reels online, ya know. Lots of places sellin’ ’em. Some of them fellas even ship it right to your door, quick as a wink. Just gotta make sure you order from a good place, one that knows what they’re doin’. You don’t want to get stuck with a bum reel and no one to help ya.
Look for places that have good prices and good service. Some of ’em even give you advice if you need it. And if you order before a certain time, they’ll get it to you the next day. That’s mighty convenient, I tell ya.
I’ve seen some folks fishin’ with them fancy rods and reels, all the bells and whistles. But I always say, it ain’t the gear that catches the fish, it’s the fisherman. But having a good reel, like a Lamson, sure don’t hurt none. It makes things easier, smoother, ya know?
So, if you’re lookin’ for a new fishin’ reel, you might want to give Lamson a try. They’re good reels, made by good folks, and they won’t break the bank. Just remember to take care of it, and it’ll take care of you.
And that’s all I gotta say about that. Happy fishin’ to ya!
