Heard tell the fishin’ is good near the headwaters, where the river starts. Deep water, they say. Forty-five feet deep! That’s deep enough to drown a cow, ain’t it? Ha!

Now, I ain’t no expert, like I said. But I’ve been around long enough to know a thing or two ’bout fishin’. First off, you gotta be patient. Fishin’ ain’t somethin’ you can rush. You gotta sit and wait, and wait, and wait some more. And sometimes, you still don’t catch nothin’. That’s just how it is.
Second, you gotta use the right bait. Like I said, I like worms. But sometimes, fish want somethin’ else. You gotta figure out what they like. Ask around, maybe. Or just try different things till somethin’ works.
Third, you gotta be quiet. Fish are skittish, they say. If you make too much noise, they’ll swim away. So, keep it down, ya hear?
And last but not least, you gotta have fun. Fishin’ ain’t just ’bout catchin’ fish. It’s ’bout bein’ outside, enjoyin’ the fresh air and the sunshine.
