Alright, let’s gab about this Wizard Falls Fish Hatchery place over in Camp Sherman, or whatever they call it. I ain’t never been one for fancy names, ya know? But folks keep yappin’ about it, so I figured I’d tell ya what I heard, the way I understand it, mind you.
So, this place, it’s got somethin’ to do with fish, that much is clear. They call it a “hatchery,” which sounds mighty complicated, but from what I gather, it’s like a baby fish factory. They raise ’em up, all them little fishes, and then I reckon they dump ’em in the water somewhere. Probably so folks can catch ’em later, I guess. Seems like a lot of work for a fish, if you ask me.
Now, people, they seem to like this place a whole heap. I hear tell they got near a hundred reviews, or somethin’ like that. Folks writin’ all sorts of things, sayin’ it’s “amazing” and “more fun than expected.” Amazing, huh? For fish? Well, I’ll be. And more fun than expected? I guess some folks don’t expect much outta life, so a bunch of fish is a big deal.
They also go on about how the “family will love it.” Well, I guess kids like lookin’ at wiggly things. But I can’t imagine my old man gettin’ all excited about a bunch of minnows. He’d be more interested in a good nap, or maybe a plate of fried somethin’. But times are different now, I suppose. Folks got all kinds of ideas about what’s fun.
- They got pictures, too, I hear. Twenty-somethin’ of ’em. I ain’t seen ’em myself, but I bet they’re just pictures of fish. Maybe some water. Probably a building or two. Not much to write home about, if you ask me.
- And they talk about “deals,” whatever that means. Probably cheaper to get in on certain days or somethin’. Folks always lookin’ for a bargain, even when it comes to lookin’ at fish.
- Some folks call it a “traveler review”. I ain’t traveled much, just to the next town over for supplies mostly. But I guess folks come from all over to see these here fish. Land sakes!
Now, they keep sayin’ it’s in Camp Sherman, or somethin’ like that. Sounds like a place where city folks go to pretend they’re roughin’ it. Probably got cabins and fancy bathrooms and all that. Not like the real outdoors, where you gotta squat behind a bush and hope a bear don’t come sniffin’ around.
But back to the fish. I reckon they got different kinds of fish there, not just the same ol’ trout. Maybe some of them salmon fellers, the ones that jump up waterfalls and such. Or maybe them little bitty ones that you use for bait. I don’t know, I ain’t no fish expert. I just know they got a whole lot of ’em, and folks seem to like lookin’ at ’em.
And they got “articles” too, they say. Now, that sounds right official. Probably some smart fella writin’ all about how the hatchery works and how important it is to save the fish or somethin’. I ain’t much for readin’ that kinda stuff, myself. Too many big words and not enough common sense, if you ask me.
So, there ya have it. That’s what I know about this Wizard Falls Fish Hatchery place. It’s a place with a whole bunch of fish, where folks go to look at ’em, take pictures, and maybe even save a few bucks on the entrance fee. And families seem to like it, though I can’t for the life of me figure out why. But hey, to each their own, right? If folks wanna spend their day starin’ at fish, that’s their business. Me, I’d rather be sittin’ on my porch with a glass of somethin’ cold and watchin’ the grass grow. That’s entertainment enough for me.
I reckon if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ to do with the kids or grandkids, this fish place might just be the ticket. Just don’t expect me to come along. I’ve seen enough fish in my lifetime, and most of ’em were on the end of my fishin’ pole.
Anyways, that’s the gist of it. Go see it for yourself if you’re so inclined. Just don’t blame me if you end up bored stiff. Like I said, it’s just a bunch of fish. But hey, maybe that’s your cup of tea. Who am I to judge?
