Alright, so you wanna know about fishin’ in Englewood, Florida, huh? Well, lemme tell ya, it’s pretty good, real good sometimes. I ain’t no fancy fisherman, but I know a thing or two ’bout catchin’ fish, ya know?
September 2024 Fishin’ in Englewood
Folks been catchin’ all sorts of stuff this September. Lots of talk about “top catches,” whatever that means. Sounds fancy, but it just means they caught some good fish, I reckon. They say there’s good fishin’ at the “Bait House at Manasota Key Marina”, “Reef Raider Fishing Charters”, “Always Forever Charters”, and a few other places. I ain’t been to none of them fancy places, I just fish where I fish, ya know?
What Kinds of Fish You Can Catch
Now, they got all sorts of fishin’ here. “Deep Sea,” that’s way out yonder in the ocean, where the big boys swim. Then there’s “Inshore,” that’s closer to the land, where I like to fish. “Nearshore,” I guess that’s in between. And “Flats,” that’s the shallow water, good for some fish, not so good for others.
- Tarpon: Big, strong fish, fight like heck. People come from all over to catch these fellas. I caught one once, nearly pulled me right outta the boat!
- Snook: Good eatin’, these are. They say early mornin’ is the best time to catch ‘em. But you gotta throw ‘em back mostly, unless they’re big enough to keep. They call it “catch and release,” somethin’ like that.
- Mangrove Snapper: Now these, these are tasty! And you can keep more of ‘em. Most are ’bout this big, ya know? holds hands about a foot apart. They say you can get your fill of ‘em if you know where to look.
How Much Does it Cost?
If you wanna go on one of them fancy boats, the “Offshore” ones, it’ll cost ya a pretty penny. I ain’t got that kind of money. I just stick to my own little boat, or fish right off the shore sometimes. Cheaper that way, and just as fun, if you ask me.
People Talkin’ ‘Bout Their Fishin’ Trips
I hear folks talkin’ ‘bout this Captain Hutch guy. Seems like he knows his fishin’. Someone said they went with him twice, even took their grown-up son. Must be good, I reckon. And lots of people are lookin’ to catch them Tarpon fellas, always a big deal.
My Two Cents
Look, fishin’ in Englewood is good. Plain and simple. You don’t need a fancy boat or fancy gear. Just some bait, a hook, and a little bit of patience. And maybe some bug spray, them mosquitos can be fierce! The tides matter too, somethin’ ‘bout the water comin’ in and goin’ out. I don’t understand it all, but I know when the fishin’ is good, and when it ain’t.
Fishin’ Report Summary
So, if you’re lookin’ for a good place to fish, Englewood is a good bet. September’s been good, and I reckon the fishin’ will stay good for a while longer. You can catch all sorts of fish, from them big Tarpon to them tasty Snapper. Just get out there and give it a try! You might even catch somethin’ big enough to brag about. But remember, be respectful of the water, and don’t take more than you need. Leave some for the next fella, ya know?
That’s all I got to say about fishin’ in Englewood. Now go on and get yourself out there and catch some fish!
MM Charters also gets a shout-out in them fishin’ reports, must be doin’ somethin’ right. But like I said, I ain’t never been on one of them fancy boats. I’m happy with my own little way of doin’ things.
