Well, I reckon it’s time to give ya the lowdown on the fishin’ around Linwood, Michigan. Now, if you’re lookin’ for a place where the fish are bitin’ good, then you’ve come to the right spot. Frank’s Linwood is just about the best place to be, especially if you’re lookin’ to catch some walleye or perch. I been hearin’ all kinds of fishin’ stories, and let me tell ya, the folks around here are pullin’ in some real big ones!
The water’s been warm and the fish are bitin’ like nobody’s business. If you’re headin’ out to the bay, I’d say the best places to catch them walleye are about 13 feet deep. You gotta make sure you’re fishin’ in the right spot, ya know? Sometimes, they’ll be all the way down to 17 feet, but ya gotta keep an eye on the water. Now, I ain’t no expert, but from what I hear, trollin’ along the bay is real good if you’re lookin’ for walleye. Best time seems to be early mornin’ or late evenin’, when the fish are hungry.
Perch, on the other hand, are easier to find. They like to hang out in shallower water, about 12 to 15 feet deep. Just drop your line down there, and you’ll have a good chance of catchin’ one of these tasty critters. Some folks say the deeper water ain’t so good for perch, but it’s worth tryin’. The trick is to keep movin’ around till you find where they’re bitin’ the most. If you’re fishin’ from a boat, you’re in luck – there’s plenty of space for you to get around out there!
Now, I know a lotta folks like to fish around Linwood itself. There’s plenty of spots for both the seasoned anglers and the folks just startin’ out. You can’t go wrong with the water here. Walleye and yellow perch are the main catches, but every now and then, you might find yourself reelin’ in a smallmouth bass or two, if you’re lucky! You gotta be patient though, fishin’ ain’t always as easy as it sounds. Sometimes you gotta wait a spell, but once you catch one, it’s all worth it.
One thing you don’t wanna forget is the bait. Make sure you’ve got the right stuff, or you’ll be sittin’ there with an empty hook. Live bait is always a good choice, but if you can’t find any, you can always use some of that artificial stuff too. I’ve seen some folks use minnows or night crawlers – whatever works, y’know? I reckon you’ll do fine if you keep your tackle box stocked and ready.
If you’re new to fishin’ and don’t know where to start, don’t worry none. There’s a lotta folks in the area who’d be happy to help ya out. Frank’s Linwood has a big ol’ store with all the fishin’ gear you could ever need, from poles to tackle, and even some tips from the locals. Don’t be shy to ask ‘em for some advice, they’re all real friendly around here.
Frank’s been around for years and knows a thing or two about fishin’. Folks come from all over just to get a taste of what the bay has to offer. I reckon there’s something special about the fishin’ here, and it sure makes for some mighty fine stories once you catch yourself a big one. If you ever get the chance, come on down to Linwood and try your luck. Whether you’re an old hand at this or a greenhorn, you’ll find plenty of fish to catch and plenty of folks to talk to.
So, get yourself to the water, cast your line, and see what you can reel in. You never know when that big ol’ fish is gonna take the bait!
