Jigs work when the weather’s cool and them bass start movin’ deeper. You just gotta work it slow, and they’ll come to you.

The best time to fish in the fall is when them bass are up in the shallows, feeding up for winter. Usually, that’s in the late afternoon or just before the sun sets. I found that right after a cold night when the temperature hits around the 50s and 60s, that’s the time to go. Early mornings can be good too, but as the sun comes up, the fish start getting picky. Once it warms up, they go deeper into the water. So you might wanna focus on mid-day for a better chance to catch ’em.
Now, don’t go out there thinkin’ you gotta have every lure in the book. Find what works for you. Me, I swear by a few, but it ain’t always the same. Somedays, they’ll bite on one thing, other days they’ll want somethin’ else. So, always be ready to switch it up. Ain’t no shame in that, I tell you.
