Well, howdy there, y’all! Let’s talk about fishin’ at that Ben Irving place, you know, the reservoir. I ain’t no fancy fisherman, but I’ve been around enough to know a thing or two about catchin’ fish.
First off, you wanna know when to go, right? Folks say there’s an app for that now, some kinda “BiteTime™” thing. Sounds fancy, but I just go when I feel like it. Mornin’s and evenin’s are usually good, when them fish are hungry. But you know, sometimes they bite all day long, and sometimes they don’t bite at all. That’s just fishin’ for ya!
Now, about them fish. I hear tell there’s trout in there. Trout are mighty tasty. And some other warm water fish, whatever that means. I just throw my line in and see what comes out. I ain’t picky.
You want to know what kind of bait to use? Well, worms are always good. Them fish love worms. And little minnows, if you can catch ’em. Sometimes them crawdads work too. Just go diggin’ in the dirt, you’ll find somethin’ the fish will like. Don’t overthink it, that’s what I say.
Folks are always lookin’ for reports on the fishin’. They want to know where the fish are bitin’ and what they’re bitin’ on. Me? I just go and find out for myself. But I heard someone say the fishin’ should be pickin’ up this week, whatever that means. And they say trout fishin’ should be decent. So, maybe it’s a good time to go.
I also heard someone talkin’ about the Fish and Wildlife folks. They put out reports too, I guess. Somethin’ about February 7th, but I don’t pay much attention to them things. I just go fishin’.
- So, to recap, here’s what I know about fishin’ at Ben Irving:
- Go fishin’ when you feel like it, but mornin’s and evenin’s are usually good.
- Use worms, minnows, or crawdads for bait.
- Don’t worry too much about reports, just go fishin’.
- And most importantly, have fun! It aint’ about the fish all the time ya know! Just being outside is good for the soul.
Some folks use fancy setups, but I like to keep it simple. Just a hook, a line, and a bobber. That’s all you need, really. And a good spot, of course. Find a nice shady spot by the water, and you’re all set.
Now, I can’t tell you exactly where to go fishin’ at Ben Irving, ’cause I don’t know my way around too good. But there’s water all around and fish in all of it so you just find a spot that looks good to you, you know? Trust your gut. Fish tend to hang out around the edges, near the weeds and rocks. That’s where they find their food.
And remember, patience is a virtue when it comes to fishin’. You might not catch a fish right away, but don’t give up. Just keep castin’ your line, and eventually, you’ll get a bite. And if you don’t, well at least you spent a nice day outside.
So, there you have it. That’s my take on fishin’ at Ben Irving Reservoir. It ain’t rocket science, you know. Just get yourself a pole, some bait, and head on down to the water. You might just catch yourself a big one. Or you might not. But either way, you’ll have a good time. And that’s what really matters, ain’t it?
One last thing, always clean up after yourself. Don’t leave no trash around. We gotta keep our fishin’ spots nice and clean for everyone to enjoy. And for the fishes too, I guess. They don’t like swimmin’ in garbage, I reckon.
Now get out there and go fishin’! And good luck to ya!
