Well, lemme tell ya ’bout this fishin’ place, Indian River Inlet in Delaware. They say it’s a real good spot for catchin’ fish, though I ain’t been there myself. People talk about all sorts of fish swimmin’ around, ya know, like them flounder and bluefish. Sounds like a good place to throw yer line in and see what bites.
Now, they tell ya, if you’re plannin’ on fishin’ there, gotta get yerself one of them FIN numbers, especially if yer over 16. Don’t cost nothin’, but they say ya need it. Something ’bout the state wantin’ to know who’s fishin’ in their waters. If ya buy a fishin’ license, they give ya one of them numbers automatically, or so they say.
Fishin’ Report, they call it. Means what kind of fish folks are catchin’, I reckon. They was sayin’ somethin’ ’bout a kid’s fishin’ tournament over the weekend, lots of kids catchin’ plenty of fish. Sounds like it was a good time for everyone.

- Flounder too, they say they’re bitin’ good.
- And Atlantic Croaker, sounds like a noisy kinda fish.
- Them Sheepshead, funny name for a fish, ain’t it?
- Black Drum, big ol’ fish, they say.
- And Bluefish, them’s the ones I heard of before.
They say ya can catch these fish most of the year there, in the Inlet. Sounds like a good place to go if ya like fishin’.
Now, they also got this other place, Lums Pond State Park, where they say the freshwater fishin’ is good. They talk about largemouth bass and bluegill and such. Even some striped bass they put in there sometimes.
They say the park is on the north side of the Inlet, part of the Delaware Seashore State Park. Never been to a seashore park myself, but it sounds nice.
Fishin’, fishin’, fishin’. That’s all folks talk about when they mention this Indian River Inlet. If you like fishin’, maybe you should go check it out. Just remember to get that FIN number if ya need one. Wouldn’t want to get in trouble with the state folks, now would ya?
