Alright, listen up, y’all. Let’s talk about this fishin’ thing in November. Some folks say it’s too cold, fish ain’t bitin’, but I’m here to tell ya, that ain’t always the truth. You just gotta know what you’re doin’, see?
Is fishin’ good in November? Well, it can be, it can be. It ain’t like summer fishin’, that’s for sure. But if you’re willin’ to put in a little effort, you can still catch some good ‘uns. It all depends on where you are and what kind of fish you’re after.
Now, I ain’t no fancy fisherman with all them fancy gears. I just use what works. And lemme tell ya, some of them fish, they still like to eat even when it’s gettin’ chilly. Especially them trout. I hear tell November is a good time for them trouts. Them fellers like that cold water, I reckon. So, if you’re near a trout stream, you might wanna give it a try.
- Bait, you ask? Well, worms are always good. Can’t go wrong with a good ol’ worm. But I seen some folks usin’ other stuff too, like them little shiny things that look like bugs. Fish seem to like them too. And get this, some crazy fellers even use them noisy topwater baits even when it’s cold! Buzzbaits and Whopper Ploppers they call ’em. Makes a racket on the water, but them fish, they just go crazy for it. Go figure.
- Where to go? That depends on where you live, don’t it? But if you can find some deeper water, that’s where the fish like to hang out when it gets cold. They go down deep where it’s warmer. So, you gotta get your bait down there to ’em.
- When to go? Anytime you can, I say! But some folks say the best time is early mornin’ or late evenin’. That’s when the fish are most active. But shoot, I’ve caught fish in the middle of the day too. You just never know.
Now, let’s talk about them bass. Some say bass fishin’ in November ain’t no good. But that ain’t always true. You just gotta change your tactics. Them bass, they get a little sluggish when it gets cold, so you gotta slow down your presentation. You can’t just be yankin’ that lure through the water like you’re in a hurry. You gotta be patient, you gotta let it sink down deep, and you gotta give them bass a chance to see it and bite it. And remember what I said earlier them topwater baits, they still work even in November for the bass.
So, is fishin’ good in November? It can be, if you know what you’re doin’. You gotta be willin’ to adapt, you gotta be willin’ to try new things, and you gotta be willin’ to put in the time. But if you do, you can still catch some good fish, even when the weather starts to turn cold. Don’t listen to them naysayers who say fishin’ is over when the leaves start fallin’. They just don’t know what they’re talkin’ about. There’s still plenty of fish to be caught, you just gotta know how to find ’em.
And remember, dress warm! It gets cold out there on the water, and you don’t want to be shiverin’ your teeth out while you’re tryin’ to catch a fish. So, bundle up, grab your gear, and get out there and give it a try. You might be surprised at what you catch. And even if you don’t catch anything, well, at least you got to spend some time outdoors, enjoyin’ the fresh air and the peace and quiet. That’s better than sittin’ on the couch watchin’ that darn TV all day, ain’t it?
And one more thing, if you’re fishin’ in a boat, be careful. The water’s cold in November, and you don’t want to fall in. Wear a life jacket, and don’t take any chances. Safety first, that’s what I always say. And if you’re fishin’ from the bank, watch your step. Them rocks and leaves can be slippery this time of year. So, be careful out there, and have fun. That’s what fishin’ is all about, ain’t it? Havin’ fun and catchin’ some fish.
Now get out there and fish, y’all! And don’t forget what I told ya.
