- August 2024 – Heard they was catchin’ somethin’ fierce then. Don’t remember what kind, but they was bitin’.
- November 2023 – Same thing. Folks catchin’ fish left and right. Gotta know where to go though, that’s the secret.
They got this place, Ocean Blue Kona. Some fella went there in November, said it was good fun. Don’t know what he caught, but he seemed happy ’bout it.
This Kona Coast, they say it’s famous for fishin’ in the deep water. Big fish, like marlin and mahi-mahi. Never seen one myself, but they say they’re somethin’ else. You gotta get on a boat from Honokōhau Harbor, that’s where they go out from.
There’s this pier too, Kailua Pier. Folks swim there, say it’s good for it. But if you ain’t used to swimmin’ in the ocean, best be careful. Waves can get ya if you don’t know what you’re doin’.
Now, I ain’t no expert, but seems like folks catch a lot of fish in this Kailua Kona. Just gotta know when and where to go. And maybe get yourself on a boat with someone who knows their stuff. Captain Jim, maybe.
