Well, howdy there, folks! Lemme tell ya ’bout fishin’ down in Los Barriles. I ain’t no fancy writer or nothin’, just tellin’ it like it is, ya know?
Now, them folks at Tailhunter Sportfishing, they been keepin’ tabs on the fishin’ scene. Back in October and early November, they said things was pretty good down La Paz way, Las Arenas, Muertos Bay, and Bahia Suenos. Heard tell they was catchin’ all sorts of fish. Don’t ask me their fancy names, but they was bitin’!
September in Los Barriles
- Folks been catchin’ fish, that’s for sure. Lots of ’em, I reckon.
- Now, where exactly? Well, that’s the million-dollar question, ain’t it? Fish move around, ya know. But them fellas at the fishin’ reports, they kinda give ya an idea.
- What kinda fish? All sorts! Big ones, little ones, some you eat, some you just take a picture of and throw back.
I ain’t gonna lie, I ain’t been down there myself lately. My old bones ain’t up for travelin’ like they used to be. But I hear things from my friends and neighbors, and they hear things from their cousins and such. Word gets around, ya know? Especially when it comes to fishin’.
If you wanna know exactly what’s bitin’ right now, well, you gotta go read them fishin’ reports. They got all the details. They’ll tell ya what kinda bait to use, where to go, what time of day. Me? I just use a worm and a hook, that’s always worked for me. But these fancy folks, they got their lures and their special lines and all that. To each their own, I say.
But one thing’s for sure, Los Barriles is a fishin’ paradise. Always has been, always will be. I remember when my husband was still alive, we used to go down there every year. We’d catch so many fish, we’d have to give ’em away to the neighbors! Them were the good old days.
Now, I ain’t sayin’ it’s easy. Fishin’ takes patience, ya know? You gotta be willin’ to sit out there all day, sometimes without even a nibble. And you gotta be willin’ to get your hands dirty. Fishin’ ain’t for the faint of heart, that’s for sure.
But when you finally reel in that big one, oh boy, it’s worth it! The fight, the excitement, the feeling of accomplishment. There’s nothin’ like it. And then you get to take it home and cook it up for dinner. Fresh fish, cooked just right, with a little bit of lemon and butter. Mmm, mmm, makes my mouth water just thinkin’ about it!
So, you wanna go fishin’ in Los Barriles? Here’s what I recommend:
- Do your research. Read them fishin’ reports. Talk to the locals. Find out what’s bitin’ and where.
- Get your gear ready. Make sure you got a good rod and reel, some strong line, and plenty of bait. And don’t forget a hat and sunscreen! The sun down there can be brutal.
- Be patient. Fishin’ ain’t a race. Take your time, enjoy the scenery, and wait for the fish to come to you.
- Have fun! That’s the most important thing. Fishin’ is supposed to be enjoyable. So relax, have a good time, and make some memories.
And if you do catch a big one, send me a picture! I love seein’ them fish, even if I can’t catch ’em myself anymore.
That’s all I got to say about fishin’ in Los Barriles. Hope it helps ya out. Tight lines, folks!
