That lake, it’s big. Real big. They say it’s 630 square miles. I don’t know what that means in acres or nothin’, but it’s a whole lotta water. And it ain’t too deep, they say, only 12 to 14 feet on average. But them ships gotta have deeper water, so they dig it out, make it deeper for ’em.
Now, fishin’ ain’t just about throwin’ a line in the water and hopin’ for the best. You gotta know what you’re doin’. You gotta know where the fish are, what they like to eat, and when they’re bitin’. It’s a whole thing, ya see?
I ain’t gonna lie, sometimes you go fishin’ and don’t catch nothin’. That’s just how it is. But other times, you catch a whole mess of ’em. And that’s a good feelin’, bringin’ home a bucket full of fish for supper.
